Staples and ELEVEN have collaborated for the better part of the decade. In recent years, ELEVEN has designed over 30 products for the freshly transformed Staples brand. With a dedicated focus on the Worklife Experience, Staples has developed a series of targeted independent product brands. Within those brands, Staples and ELEVEN have brought innovation, function, and beauty to previously stagnant categories. Below is a sampling of the desk organizers and desk tools that ELEVEN has developed with Staples. ELEVEN created multiple distinct families of desk accessories that are not only beautiful, but thoughtfully designed to work together in modular configurations.

Designing a stapler for Staples was an exciting challenge in its own right. We needed to improve on a tool that has virtually gone unchanged for the last 50 years. Staples did not want to make a stapler that simply “looked better,” they wanted to create the best possible product. Focusing closely on each interaction point, we were able to identify some key user pain points on this common desk tool. ELEVEN designed concepts that had clever solutions to each user pain point. As a testament to Staples, the production staplers are nearly identical to the concepts that ELEVEN proposed. We are proud of our collaboration with Staples and excited as more products born from this partnership enter production in the near future.
